No work done yesterday. Lots of DVR car racing (F1, Sebring 12hr from Sat., NASCAR) to watch on TV and made a run to Home Depot to pickup some wood to make the canopy bow templates.
Made another shopping list for Aircraft Spruce and placed the order.
Worked on the fit of the nose gear mount. A minor welding modification will be needed to get it to fit.
Made a wood template of the forward portion of the turtleback. I marked a line 5/8" (bow+canopy) inside that as a cut line. I screwed the template to another piece of wood and used it as a guide to shape the aft canopy bow. The bow sits forward of the bulkhead 1/2" and will sit slightly higher than the turtledeck to fit the bow of the canopy. I'm planning that the final vertical adjustment will be done where the bow slides into the canopy corner weldments D02-08.
